You are completely right on the gameplay priority. If you prioritize the world before the gameplay you get games like fnaf security breach, a game where they literally built the pizza plex before deciding anything about how the game was gonna play. It doesn't work, so it's a good sign that Skate. didn't do that.

It seems to me that Skater XL and Session devs are basically giving up. Why ? Because there's a rough competition coming up. A killer. And its Skate which is supposed to be FREE. That game just crushes these two games easely. Those games used to be good. But way before Skate development was announced. And now when Skate is coming, it's pointless adding new tricks that are going to be in Skate anyway. Skater XL and Session devs basically screwed up. They had a chance, to do it more like a Skate. Adding airflips and that kind of crazy stuff, larger maps. Instead they kept it more to realism, and now Skate will beat that.

I am so glad I never bought this game :D Haven't seen this game for years and so far it seems no new tricks were added or anything interesting. And now some challenges that doesn't even work properly ? :D That's a joke :D Once Skate comes out which is supposed to be free, this game is gonna die :D It already feels dead to be though.

I'm sorry but how can this game even be compared to Skate? Sure, the animations are good but the physics look terrible. It literally looks like you're skating on the moon.

Hopefully they just add additional areas onto the map instead of changing the current spots, unless obviously for an event or if the spot it bad

Top tip for playing Rider's - go into your sound options and turn dialogue/voice down to 0. Did that 5mins in, 300hours later, never turned it back on XD

Hey man! I don't know if you knew this, but I've noticed that you open up the session marker menu to go back to your previously set session marker. You can simply click the down button on the D pad + x (or square). I find it less annoying when I'm trying out a line.

I love playing the skateboarding in this game. It's something different, feels good, and you can get into a nice zone.

They just need a better map for skating

I genuinely hate Riders Republic. Maybe it’s the controls, maybe the weird floatiness of the animation, but I just can’t get into it.

The animations look great but it feel and looks so incredibly floaty, it puts me off to it. Everything looks fine until they player model starts coming back down and it's like half gravity or something, it just doesn't look right and just from watching I don't like the way it feels. Hopefully they can polish that up a little bit!
